| Holly River State Park boasts of rich wildlife. The creature that is the most magnificent is the Whitetail deer. As a result of the balanced ecosystem and pro-tection from hunting, deer have proliferated. Visitors are afforded the opportunity to closely observe these wonderful creatures. | |

Equally impressive are the squirrels, which are guaranteed to amuse and entertain vistors. Sometimes they are in the company, and often competing for food with "fairy-diddle" chipmunks. | |||||
| Holly River State Park has birdhouses distributed widely offering protection to the variety of birds native to the area, and hopefully this fosters their ability to propogate and makes their lives easier. |
